The Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology is excellent in treating the brown spots and redness including broken vessels on the face. It also removes brown age spots of the arms and hands. The ruddy redness of the sun-exposed area of the neck and chest responds well to this treatment.
A pulse of bright light is shone on the area of treatment. A light sting is felt. It is done in the office without any need for anesthesia. The target area responds over several days with gradual fading of colors. To be most effective, it is done in several sessions over time.

Whether for hygienic or cosmetic reasons, the patient who is tired of temporary, often painful methods of removing unwanted hair may welcome laser and intense pulsed light hair removal with relief.
Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years. Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal -- the follicle must be "active" at the time of treatment, and not all follicles are active at the same time. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.
It is possible that some hair will grow back, though it is usually finer and lighter than what was originally removed.

Micropigmentation, or Permanent makeup, can improve a person's appearance in a variety of ways, from eyebrow, eyelash and lip enhancement to scar and blemish camouflage to nipple/areola coloration following breast reconstruction. FDA-approved, allergy-tested dyes are made of mineral extracts and can be tinted to match the patient's skin tone as closely as possible. The dyes are injected into the skin using micro-needles after the application of a topical anesthesia, with procedures lasting as little as 30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. Results are visible immediately, although more than one session may be required for larger areas or touch-ups. Most patients are fully recovered within 24 hours. Contact lenses, makeup and direct sunlight should be avoided for the first few days.
